Lombok, May 4, 2026 – JAECOO Indonesia participated in the Rinjani100 trail running event, held from May 1–3, 2026, at Mount Rinjani National Park, Lombok, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting active lifestyles and the development of nature-based sports tourism in Indonesia. During the event, JAECOO showcased the JAECOO J7 SHS-P Discover Edition and JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS, allowing participants and visitors to experience the vehicles up close. In addition, the J8 SHS-P ARDIS served as the official lead car, supporting the smooth operation of the race across challenging terrain.

Rinjani100 is an internationally recognized trail running event that has been held annually since 2013. This year’s edition attracted 2,324 runners from 38 countries. The event features a variety of race categories ranging from 12 km to 162 km, with the latter being the longest and most demanding category. Rinjani100 is officially registered under the UTMB qualifying standard, enabling participants to earn qualification points toward the UTMB World Series in France. The event is also part of the TorX Experience, providing finishers of the 100 km and 162 km categories with direct opportunities to participate in Tor des Géants, the world-renowned ultra-trail race in the Italian Alps, without undergoing a complex qualification process. These credentials continue to strengthen Rinjani100’s global positioning and attract a growing number of international runners to Lombok each year.

Through the presence of its SHS lineup, including the JAECOO J7 SHS-P and JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS, JAECOO Indonesia once again highlighted its adventurous spirit while demonstrating how advanced vehicle technologies, including those in the premium segment, can support outdoor activities in a functional and sustainable manner.

“Rinjani100 provides a highly relevant platform for us to support the development of Indonesia’s sports tourism ecosystem while reinforcing the spirit of exploration that defines JAECOO. Through the JAECOO J7 SHS-P and JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS, we want to demonstrate how hybrid technology and intelligent drivetrain systems can deliver performance, stability, and efficiency even in demanding environments,” said Jim Ma, Business Unit Director of JAECOO Indonesia.

As part of its Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) lineup, JAECOO introduces its Super Hybrid System (SHS) technology through the JAECOO J7 SHS-P and JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS. This advanced PHEV system intelligently integrates electric and combustion power, delivering exceptional energy efficiency without compromising performance across a wide range of driving conditions.

The JAECOO J7 SHS-P Discover Edition is an evolution of the J7 SHS-P with a stronger focus on adventure-oriented lifestyles. Designed to support outdoor exploration, the vehicle is equipped with a range of functional accessories, including a roof platform for additional cargo capacity, side boxes and tactical boxes for practical storage solutions, and a hard-shell side awning that provides protection from the sun during outdoor activities. A side ladder offers convenient roof access while further enhancing the vehicle’s functionality and distinctive Discover Edition character.

Meanwhile, the JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS, which previously served as the Zero Car at the IRRA Rally 2025, delivers a premium driving experience powered by a 1.5L TGDI Dedicated Hybrid Engine paired with an Electric Hybrid 3DHT system. This combination enables an all-electric driving range of up to 246 kilometers and a total hybrid range of up to 1,660 kilometers. This remarkable achievement earned the J8 SHS-P ARDIS a MURI (Museum Rekor Dunia Indonesia) record as the hybrid vehicle with the longest driving range in Indonesia, achieved on a single full battery charge and fuel tank.

As part of its broader electrified mobility ecosystem, JAECOO also showcased the JAECOO J5 EV, a fully electric vehicle designed for consumers seeking to transition to environmentally friendly mobility. The J5 EV has received a highly positive response from the Indonesian market, becoming the country’s No.1 EV with sales of 1,942 units in January, 2,926 units in February, and 2,775 units in March 2026.

JAECOO currently operates 32 dealerships across Indonesia, including its latest opening in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, with an additional 25 dealerships scheduled to open in various regions. This network expansion reflects JAECOO’s commitment to bringing its products and services closer to consumers while supporting long-term growth in Indonesia’s automotive market. The company aims to establish up to 80 JAECOO outlets nationwide by the end of 2026.

Through its participation in Rinjani100 2026, JAECOO Indonesia continues to demonstrate how advanced hybrid technology, premium SUV capability, and a spirit of exploration can come together to support active lifestyles and sustainable mobility across Indonesia’s diverse landscapes.
