Jakarta, May 12, 2026 – JAECOO J5 EV has once again maintained its position as Indonesia’s best-selling electric vehicle for the January–April 2026 period. Based on wholesale and retail sales data from GAIKINDO, the JAECOO J5 EV recorded total wholesale sales of 11,006 units and retail sales of 10,587 units during the period.
This achievement reflects the strong demand and growing market acceptance of the J5 EV amid the rapid expansion of Indonesia’s electric vehicle market. Sales of the JAECOO J5 EV have continued to grow consistently since the beginning of the year. In January 2026, both wholesale and retail sales reached 1,942 units. The figures then increased to 2,926 units in February. In March, the J5 EV posted wholesale sales of 2,959 units and retail sales of 2,775 units. The momentum continued in April, with wholesale sales rising to 3,179 units and retail sales reaching 2,944 units.
