JAKARTA, March 30, 2026 – JAECOO continues to reinforce its position as a “Global Blockbuster Maker” in the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) industry, recording strong sales performance in early 2026 across key markets, including Europe and Southeast Asia.
Through a structured expansion strategy in mature markets such as Europe, alongside solid growth in emerging regions like Southeast Asia, JAECOO demonstrates consistent progress in transforming from a technology leader into a global market contender in the NEV segment.
In Europe, JAECOO achieved significant growth despite operating in a highly competitive and mature market. In the United Kingdom, the JAECOO J7 SHS-P ranked as the number one retail sales model in January 2026 with 4,059 units sold, and accumulated more than 30,100 units over the past 12 months. In Italy, the J7 SHS-P debuted in eighth position with 416 units, while in Spain it recorded 1,318 units between January and February 2026, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 38.16%.
In the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) segment, JAECOO also demonstrated strong performance, delivering more than 4,000 units per month and securing the second position in the European market. This achievement highlights stable growth amid increasingly competitive hybrid market dynamics.
This momentum is also reflected in JAECOO’s performance in Southeast Asia, where the brand continues to show positive trends. In Thailand, the JAECOO J5 EV became the best-selling model with 6,806 units sold in January 2026, while leading both the SUV and BEV segments for three consecutive months with a 16.1% market share.
In Indonesia, JAECOO also recorded positive growth. Based on GAIKINDO wholesales data for January 2026, the JAECOO J5 EV reached 1,942 units, becoming one of the best-selling electric SUVs in the country. This trend continued in February 2026 with an additional 2,926 units sold, bringing JAECOO into the top 10 automotive brands nationally.
“Our growth across these regions shows how JAECOO is able to address diverse market needs, from developing countries to mature automotive markets. In Southeast Asia, we see a growing number of consumers shifting to new energy vehicles for both daily use and long-distance travel. Through this, we aim to deliver solutions that can adapt to various driving conditions within a single vehicle,” said Jim Ma, Business Unit Director of JAECOO Indonesia.
This success is closely supported by the Super Hybrid System (SHS), which serves as the foundation of JAECOO’s global performance. The technology delivers both daily efficiency and long-distance flexibility, enabling a more efficient driving experience without compromising performance under various conditions.
From fuel efficiency to driving range, as well as from energy efficiency to driving dynamics, SHS demonstrates comprehensive leadership across all aspects. Through a single integrated solution, the system addresses two traditionally conflicting demands—fuel efficiency and performance—eliminating the need for consumers to choose between the two.
In Indonesia, SHS technology is available in the JAECOO J7 SHS-P and JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS. Based on testing under Indonesian road conditions, the J7 SHS-P is capable of achieving a range of up to 1,377 km with a full tank and fully charged battery. Meanwhile, the J8 SHS-P ARDIS can reach up to 1,660 km under similar conditions, offering enhanced flexibility for long-distance mobility.
Both models are equipped with fifth-generation hybrid technology, delivering thermal efficiency of up to 44.5%. The J7 SHS-P features a 1.5T engine paired with a 1-speed DHT transmission, while the J8 SHS-P ARDIS is powered by a 1.5TGDI engine combined with a 3-speed DHT for more optimal performance.
The robustness of this technology was further demonstrated through the participation of the JAECOO J8 SHS-P ARDIS in the Indonesia Rally Raid Adventure (IRRA) 2025, showcasing its capability across various terrains while maintaining driving comfort.
Through the combination of strong global sales performance and technological excellence, JAECOO continues to strengthen its position not only as a technology leader but also as a key player in the global NEV market. With a consistent and sustainable strategy, JAECOO is moving closer to its vision of becoming a “global elegant off-road brand” relevant across diverse markets worldwide.
Currently, JAECOO operates 32 dealerships in Indonesia, including its latest opening in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. This network expansion aligns with the brand’s commitment to bringing its products closer to consumers while supporting long-term growth in the national automotive market.
