JAECOO J7 SHS (Super Hybrid System) is ready to create a new standard for hybrid cars in Indonesia. JAECOO claims that one tank of fuel can cover a distance of up to 1,353 kilometers.
This means that if you roughly calculate the tank capacity of the JAECOO J7 SHS which is 60 liters divided by the claimed mileage, it means that the JAECOO J7 SHS can produce fuel consumption of 22.55 kilometers per liter.
For us, this is a very impressive fuel consumption achievement claim. Our test team clearly can't wait to prove this. It could be that when the Auto Jago Indonesia team tests, it will be more wasteful or even more economical than this figure.
For information, in October 2024, the JAECOO J7 PHEV recorded an extraordinary achievement by covering a distance of 1,353 kilometers on just one tank of fuel in the global long-distance challenge.
This challenge involved the participation of seven countries—Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom, culminating in a spectacular journey from Guangzhou to Wuhu, China.
"This achievement shows the advanced technology contained in the JAECOO J7 SHS," said Max Zhou, Director of JAECOO Indonesia, which we quoted in the official statement received by the editorial team today (10/1).
Zhou, the last name of Max Zhou, also said, "We are committed to presenting high-quality vehicles that combine innovative technology with extraordinary performance," he said.
Not only fuel efficient, the JAECOO J7 SHS not only excels in fuel efficiency, but also provides an extraordinary driving experience, thanks to the Super Hybrid System (SHS) from JAECOO.
This advanced system, which combines Super HEV and EV technology, ensures optimal fuel consumption even in HEV mode. In addition, the system provides smooth and responsive acceleration, both in electric and hybrid modes, to meet the diverse needs of modern drivers, explained Zhou.
During the global challenge, the JAECOO J7 SHS demonstrated extraordinary efficiency by recording an average fuel consumption of only 3.3 liters per 100 kilometers. This means that 1 liter of fuel can travel 30 kilometers.
In addition, the vehicle achieved a pure electric driving range of 125.2 kilometers, exceeding initial expectations with an achievement rate of 139%.
These figures prove the vehicle's ability to optimize fuel and electrical power usage, offering an attractive solution for today's drivers.
Based on this global success, JAECOO is now preparing for a similar challenge in Indonesia which will take place in 2025.
The JAECOO J7 SHS will take part in the 1,200 kilometer Super Hybrid Long Range Endurance Test from Jakarta to Bali, designed to demonstrate its performance in typical Indonesian driving conditions.
While the global challenge tests the vehicle in a variety of terrains and climates, the Jakarta-Bali route will highlight its adaptability to local roads and weather, providing a real-world demonstration for Indonesian consumers.
"This Jakarta-Bali Challenge is an opportunity to bring our global achievements to Indonesia. It's about showing Indonesian drivers the future of sustainable mobility, where efficiency meets driving pleasure," concluded Zhou.
